Abstract

Many species of a mammal often adopt as a pet animal. Pet healthy is a factor to be considered because pets are prone to disease. Another problem is lack of veterinarian or pet clinic in Tasikmalaya region. Making an expert system to diagnose pet diseases based on its symptoms is an alternative to overcome these problems. This expert system implements certainty factor to manage uncertainty in diagnosing process and uses forward chaining as a strategy for inferring the diagnose process based on rules. One of the results of this research is a set of rules as a knowledge representation for diagnosing pet diseases; there are six rules for diagnosing rabies, parainfluenza, distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and coronavirus. Furthermore, the testing of calculation accurately shows that result of manual testing and software testing is the same. The certainty factor in the first trial is 0.8, and for the second one is 0.85, these mean that the certainty value is high enough to accept.

Abstract

Praying is a pillar of Islam based on the law that is divided into two kinds namely Mandatory and Sunnah. People usually are not aware of how to perform prayers properly and correctly, because prayer education is still given conventional only using the book as a guide. Therefore it is a necessary alternative learning media using augmented reality technology which is applied to mobile android, so users can learn the guidance of prayer anywhere and anytime. The application that was built in this research is based on interactive multimedia using augmented reality technology, where the user not only read and view the picture but they can also see the motion animation along with the sound of the movement prayer. The user also can notice the whole movement of prayers from all sides, both from the front, side or the back. Testing was conducted on 20 respondents with age criteria of 10 until 40 years. The result shows 80% respondents that had tried the application agree that the application has an attractive appearance, for the information presented is clear, and it is easy to use and responsive. The conclusion shows that the application is feasible to use.

Abstract

The presence of the information technology (IT) has important roles for the Law Bureau on the dissemination of information and law products in Central Sulawesi. As is the urgency for the law information that leads to enhance the quality of public service, the presence of Law Documentation Network Department (JDIH) in Central Sulawesi was expected to be a responsible department in order to deploy the law information with the implementation of information technology by website. This research uses qualitative method on data retrieval, that is done by interview to several staffs in Law Bureau, Central Sulawesi. The result of this research is that there are several factors that urge the adoption of IT on Law Bureau, that is: (a) there is urgency of people against the law Bureau, (b) the adoption of information technology was an effort of the Law Bureau to enhance the service quality, (c) the time effectiveness of law information dissemination. Other than that, this research also found the fact that the quality of human resource in the Law Bureau is not so espouse, therefore IT impacts the JDIH website management. There are several positive impacts as well for the vertical agency that connected with the Law Bureau and society in Central Sulawesi.

Abstract

Mango fruit is a fruit that has a high value in Indonesia and has a wide market share ranging from traditional markets to modern markets. At harvest time, the mango fruit is still selected manually based on visual observations from an expert on fruits. The lack of public knowledge about the maturity of this fruit makes the community sometimes difficult to choose a fruit that is ripe. So doing the research to detect mango Gedong fruit by looking at its skin texture and color. Features of Gedong will be extracted using second order feature extraction method that is energy, contrast, correlation, inverse different moment, and entropy. This application is built by comparing the two methods of classification namely Euclidean Distance, and Mamdani. By comparing the results of the two methods of classification, the user can know the maturity classification of mango Gedong more accurate. So, the result of this research shown that the most accurate method in mango fruit maturity classification is Euclidean Distance method with an accuracy of 83.33% with a total of 60 tests from 120. While Mamdani method has accuracy level under Euclidean Distance that is 63,33% with total 60 tests from 120.

Abstract

Information technology (IT) has a very important issue to support business activities in the organization. IT for business has a huge impact on the sustainability of the organization. Bidang A's objective in the Indikator Kerja Utama (IKU) is the implementation of reliable information technology, so Bidang A makes Service Level Agreement (SLA) for agreement level of service quality. For Bidang A requires evaluation to assess the level of service performance capability and makes recommendations to IT services that have not achieved (IKU) in the RENSTRA of Satuan Organisasi XYZ. Bidang A started implementing the COBIT 5 framework as the current governance update action. Bidang A has not yet assessed whether the implementation of the COBIT 5 framework on Bidang A's Internet service has gone well, so this evaluation activity is an initial evaluation of IT Service Performance and IT capability level using the COBIT 5 framework as a measurement tool. The domains used in COBIT 5 are Monitoring, Evaluate, and Assess (MEA). MEA01 is used because MEA01 collects, validates, and evaluates IT business and IT process objectives to provide performance transparency, conformity and drive achievement of organizational goals.

Abstract

The library in SMP Masehi Pekalongan did not well manage and not yet computerized. Based on these problems, this research aims to design and create a library-based information system website in SMP Masehi Pekalongan. The research method used is waterfall development model, which consists of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The development of this information system uses the Codeigniter framework for system functions because it has high benchmarks, good performance, and works based on the basic concepts of MVC (Model, View, Controller) making it easier to manage the system. The result of this research is a web-based library information system. The system has two users namely admin and students where each user has features in accordance with the permissions they have. Librarians can create and manage book data reports ranging from book lending, book data, and other book information. Data processing in the library becomes easier because it uses library information system.

Abstract

Sign Language is a way to communicate to people with disabilities. American Sign Language (ASL) is one among other sign languages. Sign language image would be extracted using Edge Oriented Histogram (EOH). In Content-Based Image Retrieval, a feature from query image will be compared to database image to find out the best matching method so three matching methods will be used. The matching methods are Earth Mover Distance, Hausdorff Distance, and Sum of Absolute Difference. The smallest distance shows the strong similarity between query image and database image. The Sum of Absolute Difference is outperformed of other in case the most of relevant image can be retrieved. The order of methods to recognize alphabet (from the best one) is Sum of Absolute Difference following by Earth Mover Distance and Hausdorff Distance. Hausdorff Distance has smallest running time using 4 bin features. Earth Mover Distance has smallest running time using 6 bin features. Sum of Absolute Difference has smallest running time using 9 bin features, so the method can be recommended to recognize ASL.

Abstract

The development of information systems brings a big change to organizations and companies. Information systems can be utilized by the organization or company as core competencies because it can be used in assisting decision-making. This study aims to show the development of MIT 90's and demonstrate that MIT 90's is one of the best frameworks used to plan, develop and implement information systems. This study does not thoroughly describe the understanding and development of MIT 90's because this research has not examined all available sources. However, this study contributes to the improvement of MIT 90's theory and practice for the development of information systems within organizations and companies. The approach in this study was conducted by reviewing and synthesizing scientific papers and publications related to MIT 90’s. This study addresses the following: MIT 90's development seen from the definitions and factors (elements) within the MIT 90's; MIT 90's supporting factors as a framework for building information systems; implementation of MIT 90's to help organizations and companies build appropriate information systems. The results show that MIT 90's is suitable to be used as one of the frameworks for building information system.

Abstract

The problem of poverty is one of the problems that has not been resolved yet in almost all developing countries such as Indonesia. The problem of poverty also affects the health education and income. The government has conducted various means to overcome the problem of poverty but it still has not been decreased yet because of a lot of errors in the distribution of assistance. Decision support system (DSS) is one of the methods to resolve the problem of poverty and errors in the distribution of assistance. Weighted Product methods (WP) is included of category of DSS which very suitable to select many of criteria that have provided by the government. WP method also gives results that are calculated very accurately and can be called as a method of ranking. This system becomes the solution and makes the distribution of assistance easier for administrative village officers. The system is used to select acceptance to help poor rice-based mobile. Using Weighted Product method, this system can run well proved by the valid result of comparison of Excel calculation with the calculation of existing algorithms in the system.

Abstract

The implementation of information technology is needed in education field because it can improve the education quality during the learning process. In the implementation of information technology, the university should be able to assess whether the plan of information technology investment is proper and it also must appropriate to the vision, mission, and expectations. The university still has a difficulty for analyzing the best alternative and choosing the information technology investment that could give the benefits for the university and also the leaders still confuse for doing the investment in information technology field with the appropriate cost with the university’s desire. The evaluation of information technology investment is needed to assess whether the technology investment that applied already accordance with vision and mission of the university. One of the frameworks that could help the university to evaluate the information technology investment is Val IT Framework 2.0. The assessment can be done by using the maturity model that can help the university for improving its capability in order to deliver the system consistently which is using by SDM well and also to see how effectively the company making the benefits by benchmarking comparative. There is one domain in Val IT Framework 2.0 which is focused on the investment i.e. Investment Management (IM). Investment Management (IM) has an objective to ensure that program of information technology investment at university can give the optimal result at the appropriate cost and within acceptable risk limit.
